One of the best!Like other reviewers, I recently saw Lee Mack Live at the Apollo. Hadn't seen much of his work before and thought he was brilliant.
He has a real charm about him, a natural delivery, and his interaction with the audience is a joy to watch. Anyone who can deliver impromptu lines that are really clever and really funny at the same time invariably gets my vote.
The sign language sketch is my personal favourite.
Go and buy this DVD if you want to be truly entertained.
Genius at work!Lee Mack is fast proving himself to be a genius of comedy. He's likeable in the Alun Davies Peter Kay style, only funnier! His car crash scene when he turns into Eric Morecambe verges on high art. My only regret is that I've only seen him on DVD and You-tube! While his sit-com work is fine, it's his stand-up that takes him to a new level...we need some more live gigs, Lee! And put in an extra night so it doesn't sell out so quickly!
ExcellentBought this DVD based on the reviews printed & I wasn't disappointed. There were loads of laugh-out-loud moments; one-liners, stories, banter with the audience. You can turn the swearing off apparently, but if you need to, you really shouldn't be watching! I'd pay to see him live - highly recommended.
Simple... just " BUY IT "Lee is a very underrated comedian but not by his peers ; just listen to any of the big names & they all say he's one of the sharpest minds out there. I loved this DVD ... it's worth buying for just one sketch alone.. check out " I'm so cockney it hurts " ... pure genius. Get the cheque in the post Lee
Lee MackLets be honest, nobody buys DVD's on a whim, you must have heard of him to even be bothered enough to come and look at this DVD.
As someone mentioned it's the same stuff that he showed on Live At The Apollo on BBC 1. But then every comedian who does that show doesn't write new material for it, uses old stuff. So it's hard to call it rubbish based on that.
To be honest the extra video footage of him travelling the country with his mate and warm up act, is pretty fantastic. If you loved Sketch Show or like Tim Vine, you'll love Lee Mack.
